Mission
The mission of Art Relief International is to promote awareness of significant social issues and inspire change, while cultivating creativity among struggling social groups. ARI offers individuals and groups something rare: an accepting and therapeutic atmosphere that not only fosters an appreciation for art, but provides an outlet to cope with the difficulties of everyday life.
ARI employs all forms of art, from painting and drawing to dance and drama, as methods to encourage self-exploration and to restore the vigor of the mind, body and soul. |
Furthermore, Art Relief International (ARI) helps to create extended awareness of countless people who struggle in Chiang Mai, primarily through national and international art exhibitions and selling the objects created in our programs. It is important to us that these pieces are showcased within a global community to broaden the artists' messages and their communal needs. In essence, ARI strives to act as a vital link between artistic and social discourse, proving that art truly does have the power to transform both artist and observer.
